Apple Inc. is renowned for its simple yet highly effective design language clean lines, clarity of form, and purposeful decision-making in every detail.
For this project, we embraced that philosophy while introducing the warmth and authenticity of natural iroko solid wood. The towers were 3D scanned to accurately incorporate the signature Apple inspired arc along the edges of the iroko solid top slab, blending precision engineering with organic materiality.
We set out to design a bench inspired by Apple’s aesthetic, using mid-2012 Mac Pro towers as the foundation and adding a subtle touch of nature.
After numerous iterations, we decided to transform the towers into monolithic legs, paired with a solid wood seat. The challenge was to keep the design simple and clean.
To achieve a precise fit, we 3D-scanned the towers and hand-carved the wood edges based on the scanned data.
